At CrossFit Stony Brook their is no doubt in our minds that Fitness and Nutrition go hand and hand.  We believe that together they can make a profound change in your life!

That is why we occasionally run these challenges.  Its an opportunity for us to focus on both for a short period of time so we can feel the changes with us.  We know life is busy and time is short, that is why we keep the challenges short, Just 4 weeks to keep focused and work on making positive changes that will stick around.

After the challenge is over we aren't saying give up and go back to your old habits.  We hope many of the concepts work their way into your everyday life.  In 4 weeks its easy to make some new habits that stick around.

There are lots of diets out there, lots that work and everyone is different.  I always say I don't believe in dieting, I believe in eating healthy and for something to work for you long term it has to be sustainable.  For it to be sustainable it has to be fit into your life style, your time, your eating preferences and your budget.

For this challenge we have 1 simple criteria on deciding what to allow.  Does this food provide a positive impact on your health?

I am not saying long term we can't or shouldn't include some treats in our lives!  I think you should.  But for 4 weeks during this challenge we are going to eliminate the processed foods and rely vegetables, fruits, healthy fats and lean proteins.

Now I realize we are all starting at a different place and have different overall goals.  So for this challenge we we are here to help you!  During the challenge you are going to pick a level that fits your goals and that you feel you can stick with for the 4 weeks.  Each week you will get a 15 minute consultation with one of our coaches to help you stay on track and make and necessary adjustments or customization to your current plan.
