Getting started is easy but before you can join the regular group classes all incoming members must attend a CrossFit Stony Brook Into session. Its Free and there is no obligation to buy anything at the end. Its just an opportunity for you to learn everything you need to know about our program and our trainers chance to assess your abilities. At the end of the session our trainer will make a recommendation as to which classes best suit you.
The beginner classes are designed to introduce new members to the basic fundamental movements of CrossFit. These classes are similar to the all levels classes but a run at a slower pace. The WODs are typically the same but may also be scaled down versions more applicable to beginners. These classes are great place to start your CrossFit program and may be required before you can join the all levels classes. The coach will go over all of this during your intro session.
Private Coaching and Personal Training
Private Coaching is offered as a 1-on-1 or 2-on1 program,it is custom tailored to your individual needs and availability. It usually spans 3-12 sessions depending on your fitness level and experience.
